How do I create discount codes?
Discount codes are a way to give event explorers discounts on their ticket purchases. There are various types of discounts and codes that we suggest you use to give your potential attendees a little treat when they are buying tickets.
There are two types of discounts:
- Flat discount: A fixed amount that will be deducted from the ticket price. (e.g., $5 off)
- Percent Discount: A set percentage will be deducted from the ticket price. (e.g., 50% off)
There are three types of discount codes:
- The usual - Create a discount code that attendees can enter while making a purchase.
- Link attendee’s email address - Enter an attendee’s email address as a discount code, and the code will be applied automatically when a purchase is made with the same address.
- Link attendee’s phone number - Enter an attendee’s phone number as a discount code, and the code will be applied automatically when a purchase is made with the same number.
The last two ways are especially useful when you want to give specific discounts to special guests, employees, members, and so on.
Keep in Mind: The ticket type has to accept payment online through AllEvents to apply the discount code.
Note: This feature is only available on the desktop website, but you can still use your mobile device to create a discount code by enabling the desktop view in your mobile browser. To learn how to enable Desktop view on mobile, click here.

Public/Private discount codes
We have introduced “Public Code” & “Private Code”
- Public Discount Codes: These are visible to everyone and can be used by any attendee at checkout. Perfect for early bird offers, festive discounts, or general promotional campaigns
- Private Discount Codes: These are hidden from the general public and only usable by people who have the specific code. Ideal for offering special rates to partners, VIPs, or internal teams.
