Requires Approval - Feature Guide

Go to the profile dropdown on the top right of the website → My Events → Event Dashboard → Registrations → Issue Tickets Dropdown → Manage Ticket Types → Add Ticket/ Edit Ticket (from dropdown) → More Options → turn on Requires Approval

As an event organizer, you can use the Requires Approval feature on any ticket type to approve only a selected few to attend your event. Organizers generally use this feature for meet-ups or invite-only events.

When an attendee registers for your event, you will be notified and you will get a chance to accept or reject their request on our platform.

Creating ticket types that require approval

  1. Go to the profile dropdown on the top right of the website and open the My Events page.

  1. Make sure you choose the right Organizer Page, find the relevant event, and click on Dashboard.

  1. Click on Registrations on the left menu table under Manage Event

  1. Now click on the Issue Tickets dropdown menu on the right and select Manage Ticket Types.

  1. You will see a list of all created ticket types for that particular event. To edit the ticket type, navigate to the Action dropdown and click on Edit Ticket.

  1. In the Update Ticket Details box, navigate to More options.

  1. Turn on the Requires Approval toggle and click on Save.

This feature will enable you to accept and reject registrations of attendees. You can use this feature on as many ticket types as you want.

Managing Approval Requests

You can manage all approval registrations on the Registrations page.

Navigate to Approval Requests. You can choose to Accept or Reject a request from the Pending dropdown.

The attendee will be sent a payment link when you accept their request. Once the payment is completed, the entry moves from the Approval Requests tab to the Tickets tab as well as the Payments tab.

When you accept a registration for a free ticket, the ticket is directly sent to the attendee and the entry moves from the Approval Requests tab to the Tickets tab.

Note: Your choice to link a payment gateway does not affect the process described above.

We hope you understand that this is a first-come, first-served process. If you have added the total number of tickets for your event as 100 and you accept 110 registrations, then the first 100 to make the payment will get the chance to attend your event.
