How do I reschedule/cancel/mark my event as sold out?
Below are the steps you need to follow to reschedule/cancel/mark your event as sold out:
- Go to the profile dropdown on the top right of the website and click on the "Manage Events" button.
- Navigate to the relevant event where you want to change the status and click on the event to open the Event Dashboard.
- Click on the "LIVE" button to open the Event Status Dropdown. Then, choose the option you want to apply it.
To mark your event as sold out
a. Click on the Mark as Sold Out option.
b. You will be shown a confirmation box. Read the description and click on the "Mark as Sold Out" button. Your event will be marked as sold out successfully.
c. To resume sales for your event, click on the Event Status Dropdown and select Resume Sales. If you wish to keep the same ticket types, go to their Actions dropdown and click on Resume Registrations.
Note: When resuming registrations for your event, you can also choose to add a new ticket type. Once done, your event status will be changed back to LIVE.
To reschedule your event
a. Click on the Reschedule option.
b. If you want to prepone or postpone your event, click on Reschedule to different date. Choose the date and time for your event and click on Continue.
c. You will be recommended to broadcast a message to your attendees informing them about the rescheduled event. To move further, click on the "Let’s Broadcast" button.
d. Edit your message to your liking and click on the "Broadcast Message" button. Your event status will be changed to Rescheduled successfully.
Note: Your message will be broadcast to your attendees. It is advisable that you issue refunds to the attendees who will not be able to attend your rescheduled event.
Tip: If you are unsure about when to reschedule your event, select the To be decided option from the Rescheduling Event dropdown, and ensure to broadcast a message to your attendees.
To cancel your event
a. Click on the Cancel Event option.
b. You will be recommended to broadcast a message to your attendees informing them about the canceled event. To move further, click on the "Let’s Broadcast" button.
c. Edit the message to your liking. Share the reason behind the cancellation of your event and the steps to get a refund. Click on the "Broadcast and Cancel Event" button.
d. Your event status will be changed to Cancelled successfully.
