LinkedIn Partner ID

The LinkedIn Partner ID is a professional-grade tracking tool that lets you measure exactly which LinkedIn ads are driving ticket registrations for your events. This guide walks you through the complete setup on AllEvents.in — no technical background required.

What is LinkedIn Partner ID?

The LinkedIn Partner ID is a unique number assigned to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager account. When you add it to AllEvents.in, it activates LinkedIn's tracking tool — called the Insight Tag (a small invisible script that runs on your event pages and sends visitor data back to LinkedIn) — across all your event pages automatically. AllEvents.in has fully built this integration into the organizer platform. You only need to provide your Partner ID. No coding or development work is required.

Think of it this way: when someone clicks a LinkedIn ad you run to promote your event and lands on your event page, the Insight Tag records that visit. When they complete a registration, it records that too — and links it back to the exact ad that brought them. Without it, LinkedIn sees your ad clicks but has no idea whether any of those clicks turned into actual registrations.

Why Should You Use LinkedIn Partner ID?

Event organizers who run paid campaigns on LinkedIn without the Insight Tag have no reliable way to know which ads drove registrations. The LinkedIn Partner ID closes that gap and gives you full accountability over your marketing spend.

  • Conversion Tracking: Know exactly which LinkedIn ad led to a ticket registration.
  • Retargeting: Re-engage people who visited your event page but did not register, with a targeted follow-up ad.
  • Lookalike Audiences: Let LinkedIn find new professionals who share characteristics with your confirmed registrants.
  • Cost Per Registration: See exactly how much you are spending per confirmed ticket — available once Conversion Tracking is set up (Part 3 below).
  • Visitor Demographics: See the job titles, industries, and seniority levels of people viewing your event page, even if they do not register.
  • Smarter Campaigns Over Time: Every event gives LinkedIn more data to improve your targeting and results further.
Before you begin: You need an active LinkedIn Campaign Manager account — this is LinkedIn's separate advertising platform, different from your regular LinkedIn profile. You can access it at linkedin.com/campaignmanager. If you have not set one up yet, start here first →

Part 1 How to Find Your LinkedIn Partner ID

Begin by finding your Partner ID inside LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Your Partner ID is usually 7 digits but can vary — copy the full number exactly as shown.

Step 1: Log in to LinkedIn Campaign Manager

Go to linkedin.com/campaignmanager and log in. This is LinkedIn's separate advertising platform — not the same as your regular LinkedIn profile.

Note : If you manage multiple LinkedIn ad accounts, use the account dropdown at the top-left to make sure you are in the correct account before copying anything. Each account has its own unique Partner ID.

Step 2: Go to Account Settings

Click your account name in the top-right corner of Campaign Manager, then select Account Settings from the dropdown.

Step 3: Copy your Partner ID

Your Partner ID is shown near the top of the page. Copy the full number exactly as shown — you will paste it into AllEvents.in in Part 2.

Example: 1234567

Note : You only need the Partner ID number  — not any surrounding code or text. If you cannot find Account Settings, try an alternative path: Analyze → Insight Tag in the left sidebar. Your Partner ID is shown there too.

Part 2 How to Add Your Partner ID to AllEvents.in

With your Partner ID ready, adding it to AllEvents.in takes under two minutes.

  1. Log in to your AllEvents.in account.
  2. Click your profile photo in the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Select Manage Events from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select your event from your events list.
  5. In the left menu, click on Event Toolkit.
  6. Click on Integration from the Event Toolkit menu.
  7. Scroll down until you see the Tracking Pixel section. You will find the LinkedIn option here.
  8. Paste your Partner ID into the LinkedIn field and click Save.
LinkedIn tracking is now active on all your published event pages — including events you created before today. Continue to Part 3 below. Without it, ticket registrations will not appear in your LinkedIn campaign reports.

Part 3 How to Set Up Conversion Tracking

This is the step most organisers miss — and the reason campaigns show zero conversions even when registrations are happening.

Parts 1 and 2 tell LinkedIn who visited your event page. Conversion Tracking is a separate setting inside LinkedIn Campaign Manager that tells LinkedIn who actually registered. Without it, your campaign reports will show clicks and visits — but never registrations. Cost Per Registration will not appear no matter how many people sign up.

Note : This step is done entirely inside LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Nothing changes in AllEvents.in — the platform already sends the registration signal automatically when someone completes payment. You just need to tell LinkedIn to listen for it.
  1. In LinkedIn Campaign Manager, go to Analyze → Conversion Tracking in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Create Conversion.
  3. Give it a clear name — for example: AllEvents — Ticket Registration.
  4. Set Conversion type to Purchase and How will you track conversions? to Insight Tag.
  5. Under URL contains, paste the confirmation page URL that buyers land on after completing payment on AllEvents.in. Not sure of the URL? Go to AllEvents Dashboard → Orders → open any completed order → copy the page URL from your browser. Use only the fixed part of the URL — for example allevents.in/order-confirm  — without any order ID or extra parameters at the end.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Open the campaign you want to track → find the Conversions section in campaign settings → add the conversion you just created.
Cost Per Registration will now appear automatically in your campaign performance table. You will also see how many registrations each individual ad is driving.
Note : Conversion Tracking must be attached to each campaign individually. It does not apply to all campaigns automatically. Remember to add it whenever you create a new campaign.

Events Tracked Automatically

Once your Partner ID is connected, AllEvents.in automatically sends the following LinkedIn tracking events. No additional setup is needed — this all happens in the background.

Event Name Triggered When What It Tells LinkedIn
PageView User lands on an event page Someone discovered your event. Also unlocks visitor demographic data — job title, industry, seniority — for LinkedIn members.
ViewContent User views your event detail page Someone is actively interested in your event. Useful for building retargeting audiences.
AddToCart User clicks "Book Tickets" Someone is actively considering a registration.
InitiateCheckout User enters the checkout flow Someone has strong intent and has started the payment process.
Purchase Key Registration or payment is confirmed A ticket was successfully registered. This is the core signal LinkedIn uses to measure your campaign and optimise future targeting.
Note : LinkedIn only displays visitor demographic data (job title, company, industry) once at least 300 unique visitors have been tracked. This is a LinkedIn privacy requirement — not a bug. The data appears automatically once you reach that number.

How to Verify and Test Your Setup

Data may take up to 24 hours to appear in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. To confirm your setup is working right away, follow these steps:

Step 1: Install the Insight Tag Helper

Search for "LinkedIn Insight Tag Helper" in the Chrome Web Store and install the free extension.

This extension is published by a third-party developer, not by LinkedIn. It is widely used and works well for quick checks. Enterprise users on security-managed browsers should verify directly inside Campaign Manager instead: go to Analyze → Insight Tag and check the tag status there.

Step 2: Open your event page

Open your live AllEvents.in event page in the same Chrome browser window.

Step 3: Check the extension

Click the Insight Tag Helper icon in your browser's top-right toolbar. You should see your Partner ID listed with a status of Active — which confirms it is working correctly.

What to Do Next

Your LinkedIn Insight Tag is now active and Conversion Tracking is configured. The recommended next step is to open LinkedIn Campaign Manager and launch a campaign — or attach your conversion to an existing one.

For advanced targeting, consider building a Lookalike Audience based on your confirmed registrant list. LinkedIn will find new professionals who match the job titles, industries, and seniority levels of your past buyers. LinkedIn requires a minimum audience size of 300 matched members before this option becomes available.

For guidance on tracking which channel brought each visitor to your event page — WhatsApp, Instagram bio, email campaign — refer to the AE Link support article in your AllEvents.in Help Center.

Attribution note for marketers: LinkedIn's default attribution window is 30 days after a click and 7 days after a view. Meta and TikTok default to 7-day click. This means LinkedIn will naturally show more conversions when you compare platforms side by side — not because it is performing better, but because it counts over a longer period. You can adjust the window in Campaign Manager → Campaign Settings if you want a fair comparison.

Pro Tip: Combine LinkedIn Partner ID with AE Link

Use AE Link alongside your LinkedIn Partner ID for a complete picture of your marketing. AE Link lets you create trackable short links for each channel you use — your LinkedIn ad, email newsletter, WhatsApp group, or Instagram bio. When someone clicks your AE Link, it records which channel brought them in. The LinkedIn Insight Tag then tracks what they did after arriving — whether they viewed the event, added a ticket, or completed registration. Together, these two tools give you end-to-end visibility from the first click all the way to a confirmed booking.

If Something Does Not Work

Campaign shows 0 conversions
Complete Part 3 (Conversion Tracking) and make sure Step 7 — attaching the conversion to your campaign — is done. Conversions only count when someone clicks a live ad and registers.
Cost Per Registration not showing
This only appears after Part 3 is fully complete, including Step 7. Go back and check all steps are done.
Tag shows "Unverified" after saving
Normal — LinkedIn takes up to 24 hours to confirm. Check again the next day. Still Unverified? Re-paste your Partner ID in AllEvents.in (Event Toolkit → Integration → Tracking Pixel) and hard-refresh your page (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R).
Insight Tag not firing
Confirm you clicked Save in AllEvents.in. Hard-refresh your event page and check there are no extra spaces around the Partner ID.
Data not showing in Campaign Manager
Allow up to 24 hours. Use the Insight Tag Helper extension to confirm the tag is active in the meantime.
Demographic data not appearing
LinkedIn needs at least 300 unique visitors before showing demographic data. It appears automatically once you hit that number.
Still facing issues

Privacy note: The LinkedIn Insight Tag collects visitor data including LinkedIn profile information (job title, employer, industry) for logged-in members. If your events reach audiences in Europe (GDPR) or California (CCPA), a cookie consent banner may be required before tracking loads.
