How do I update the category preference for events?
AllEvents can recommend events happening in your current city based on your category preferences. You can modify your category preferences anytime to add or remove categories based on your preferences and interests.
Using Mobile App
Below are the steps you need to follow to update your category preferences using the mobile app:
Open the AllEvents Event Discovery App and tap on the "Profile" icon at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- To modify your preferences, scroll down and tap on Category Preference.
In this screen, you can tick/untick categories based on your interests.
Once you are done, tap on the "Update" button.
- You can see event recommendations based on your preferences by clicking on the "For you" button at the bottom of your screen.
Using Desktop Website
Below are the steps you need to follow to update your category preferences using the desktop website:
Log in to your AllEvents account and go to the profile dropdown at the top right corner of the website. Click on the "Account Settings" button in the dropdown.
From here, select Event Preferences and click on the "Follow More" button under "Followed Interests."
In the pop-up box, tap to add/remove the categories as per your preferences and then click on "Save your interests" at the bottom to save your changes.
You can see event recommendations based on your preferences by clicking on the "Events for You" button next to your search bar.
